12. Booking Process Back to Top

The below provisions clarify the process of reservations done via our site. You confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Booking Terms and Conditions when making a reservation.

Definitions

Travel Service shall refer to any product of travel which is offered for sale from the Site whether side-by-side or separately including but not limited to a flight, hotel, vacation package, car rental, activity or other travel or tourism service that is available from the Site.

“Travel Provider” shall refer to any airline, hotel, car rental company, tour operator, activity provider, taximan or other third party that provides the Travel Service purchased via our Site. We are simply a facilitator for you to make reservations with the Travel Provider concerned.

How the Booking Process Works?

Steps in the Booking Process include a lot of similar steps throughout it in order to ensure you understand how the booking will be made.

  • All of the travel services available on our site are a form of an invitation to make a booking request.
  • Your booking will be complete when you check your reservation, accept the Terms & Conditions and click on the “Booking Confirmation” button at the bottom.
  • Requests submitted by you can not always be withdrawn after they have been submitted as the reservation process can start from the moment it has been made.
  • We are free to accept or reject any request for a reservation, due to available availability, verification requirements, supplier terms and conditions, or applicable circumstances.
  • Automated “Confirmation” – confirmation of the receipt of your request for booking.

Reservation Confirmation

The help desk is only notified of the booking after:

  • We have received your payment in full.
  • Availability of the required Travel Service has been established.
  • The applicable Travel Provider accepts the reservation.
  • Required tickets, booking refs or confirmation numbers have been created.

The prices, schedules, availability and booking terms will be subject to change until these steps have been taken.

Travel Agreement

Upon booking, you have a different Agreement with the relevant Travel Provider for every Travel Service in your booking.

These Terms & Conditions aside, there are rules, policies and conditions that apply to individual airlines, hotels, car rental companies (or other service providers).

16. Advice to International Passengers Back to Top

If travel across or to another country is part of your itinerary you are responsible to ensure that you comply with all travel requirements before you travel. This can be a valid passport, visa, health requirements, customs declaration or any other government-issued document. In some circumstances an airline's liability is restricted by international laws or carrier regulation. We recommend to traveler(s) to check all entry requirements and to take out optional travel insurance in your chosen country to provide further protection. We do supply general travel related information but cannot guarantee accuracy nor are we able to take any responsibility for denial of boarding, or any entry restrictions or losses due to incomplete travel documentation.

17. Third Party Links Back to Top

We may embed the links in Our Site to provide convenient access to websites operated by external parties known as "linking companies" which may offer products and services of interest to you. These sites are not owned nor controlled by us, nor can we guarantee the accuracy, availability, security and content of these sites. It is also recommended to read the website's security policy, terms of use and privacy policy before entering any personal information or downloading files from outside sites. We accept no liability for any damage, any malware nor problems you might have with third parties' websites.

18. Release Back to Top

Accordingly, you release our company and its affiliates, subsidiaries, business partners, contractors, licensors, officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents from direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, statutory, contractual or any and all claims, demands, liabilities, losses or causes of action arising from or related to any dispute with a Travel Provider or from the services provided by the Travel Provider.

Further, any other cause or legal costs associated with defending or resolving any such claim to the fullest extent permissible under the law, if any claim, suit, arbitration, administrative proceeding or future litigation is brought against us because of your actions or inactions or the dispute with a Travel Provider.

19. Cancel and Exchange Back to Top

Cancellation/exchange policies for most travel bookings are set up by the Travel Provider for which the booking is made. If you are given a cancellation on your ticket a Travel Credit may be issued by the supplier or depending on the fare rule and expiration dates of the supplier a cash refund may be offered. Cancellation, if any, must be made by the supplier before departure. Fare differences/penalty, taxes and applicable service fee could be due on any new reservation placed with travel credit. All cancellations, exchanges, future credit is subject to policies, availability and approval of the respective Travel Provider.

20. Changes to Flights and Other Services Already Purchased Back to Top

After confirmed reservation, the TRP rules and availability apply to any request to change the other travel services including hotel, car rentals or flights. Certain fares/booking may not allow passenger changes, passenger name changes, destination changes or other changes. If changes are permitted, extra charges, fare variations, supplier penalties and service fees may apply. Note that neither the Travel Provider nor The Traveler can guarantee that requested changes will be approved, or that any change you request or the Travel Provider request will leave the original booking conditions available.

21. Multiple Airline Itineraries Back to Top

If you travel on multiple airlines with the same flight, the specific terms, baggage policies, check-in requirements, and change policies of every airline will be enforced. Adjustment, delay or cancellation of a particular airline may not necessarily cover the connecting flights of the other airline. Costs may apply for affecting and customizing undamaged reservations. A few things to note, thoroughly read the travel requirements of each airline before you go and keep copies of all of your booking confirmations and electronic tickets. Some countries may also need to provide proof of the next or return journey at time of check-in or immigration as well.

22. Cancel and Refund Back to Top

All travel arrangements, such as airline tickets, hotel stays, car rentals (prepaid) and vacation packages and applicable services fees, at this point in time have become final. Refundability is subject to the Conditions of Fare of the relevant Travel Provider. For those who are enrolled in optional Travel Protection Plan, its cancellation and refund rights shall be determined in accordance with the policy of the protector.

Cancellation and any refund should be done through the approved means of communication between you and the Customer Support Team before your departure date as mandated by the supplier. Refunds are only considered where, after all applicable supplier rules, the cancellation is allowed.

In general, the request for the refund can be handled if:

  • You have emailed us to cancel your booking.
  • In accordance with the policies of the Travel Provider, the eligible ticket or booking is cancelable.
  • There has been no scheduled departure date that you missed that can be categorized according to the supplier's rules as a "no-show".
  • The cancellation is approved by the airline, hotel, car rental company, etc., the Travel Provider.

Once received the issue will be acknowledged with a reference number for future correspondence. This acknowledgment is solely to indicate receipt, and does not imply approval of your refund.

Refund requests will be individually processed, on a first-come first-served basis. Approval only applies to the Travel Provider who can only determine these. If a supplier authorises a refund, it can take longer for creditors to show the credit that has been issued back on your payment method.

There may be a refundable amount, which can be lessened by supplier cancellation costs, fares, taxes and administrative deductions. They may also charge for any relevant post booking services as per fee schedule posted on this website. Normally, the booking fee levied on bookings cannot be changed or canceled, unless provided by the specific law provisions.

Consideration may be given in some cases under quality standards (for example those of the military) or in case of bereavement, severe medical cases and other special cases where allowed by the specific Travel Provider.

23. Baggage Policy and Fees Back to Top

It is up to the operating airline to determine whether there is a baggage allowance, excess baggage charge, and carry-on luggage limitations. Fares vary by carrier and route by fare type, bag size and weight. The airline shall be payable in respect of all baggage charges unless otherwise stated. Please check your airline's most up-to-date baggage policy beforehand as these may be subject to change without warning.

24. Connecting Flights Baggage Policy Back to Top

If you fly on different airlines and your flights are connecting flights, your baggage handling might be subject to different conditions. Sometimes, you might be required to pick up the luggage which you have dropped off at another connecting airport and re-check it into the next airline. You could be charged extra for carry-on bags, depending on individual airline policies. Passengers are advised to make advance baggage transfer arrangements and charges are at the discretion of individual airlines.

25. Seats, Meals, Frequent Flyer and Other Special Requests Back to Top

We will ask the relevant Travel Provider if one is evidenced for the following when making a travel request: special meals, frequent flyer numbers, accessibility assistance, seat selection or other travel preferences and will not guarantee these requests. Approval is dependent only on the policy and availability of the supplier. An Administrative charge is levied on any requests for processing of these; the Administrative charge is often not refundable. Customers should make particular requests with the airline before they are traveling.

26. Promo Codes Back to Top
